This is how we do team bonding
Back in 2014 it was decided that Osper would hold a team bonding event. Normal practise I hear you say, that’s what companies do, nothing special about that, why are you writing about it.
Well if I could please just have your attention for a few moments I’ll tell you why. In fact I’ll do it in two words (and throw in a picture too)
TOUGH MUDDER
An event only for the completely ignorant, (that was me) brave and slightly unhinged folk who revel in the sight of muddy challenges.
Now I don’t want to scare off any prospective workers from joining our lovely team, that’s not the point of this post (I probably should have picked a less horrific picture). What in fact I am trying to say is that working at Osper is pretty cool. I would have never, EVER attempted anything like Tough Mudder but there was something about doing this as a team that made me feel like I could do it. In the end I wasn’t able to make it to the end (darn knee had to go and swell up) but the rest of the team did.
The most remarkable thing is we’ve all signed up to do it again. Now I’m not going to lie, I found the first event absolutely terrifying, and I’m panicking about round two already. BUT I’m doing it because I have a team and I know they won’t leave me behind.
Now ask yourself how many people do you know at work that won’t leave you behind?
