The Battle for Financial Confidence
Happy spooky week y’all!
Some of you might have seen a little teaser on Facebook and Instagram from the Battle for Financial Confidence. Mr Ghost, Spooky Skeleton 1 and Spooky Skeleton 2 were set off to try and take the first step towards financial confidence in what must be described as a dramatic but joyful race. Have a look below:
And the winner is…. Spooky Skeleton 2! So how might Spooky Skeleton 2’s life change now that it’s got an Osper card? We spoke to two Osper users to find out.
“Since getting my Osper card I’ve actually started to save some of my pocket money. I just don’t like seeing the money disappear on my Osper app, which makes me think about it before I buy stuff!”
– Nancy, 10 years old
“During my first month on Osper I used to go to Greggs every day on the way back from school to buy some sweets. At the end of the month mum sat me down and showed me on the Osper app that I’d spent enough money in Greggs to buy a new Xbox game. I couldn’t believe it! Since then I don’t really buy as much sweets anymore. I try to only buy sweets once a week now”
– Liam, 13 years old
That sounds great, doesn’t it? It seems like Spooky Skeleton 2 is in for a positive change. We had a word with the wider Osper community to hear a bit about how they’ve gotten on, and we had some great figures come back to us:
- 86% parents feel their children are more confident managing money now that they have an Osper card
- 84% parents feel their children are better at budgeting and saving now that they have an Osper card
- 78% parents feel their children’s appreciation for the cost of living has increased since using Osper
