Santa makes his first bank transfer – on Osper
Not too long ago we were contacted by two Osper mums who said that Santa tends to give their children money for Christmas. It’s usually given in cash, and sometimes the cash goes missing – sad times. It made us wonder how much money disappears over the holidays each year. We decided to look into it, and found that over £296 million goes missing every single Christmas. £115 million is accidentally thrown away, £14 million goes in the washing machine and £2 million is even destroyed or eaten by family pets.
Pretty expensive dog food, that.
With this in mind we decided to have a chat with Santa to see if he was interested in getting onboard with Osper. We thought it’d be so much better if Santa gifted money via Osper rather than chucking money in an envelope. Losing money is a sad affair, but losing an Osper card isn’t too bad – the card is easily locked in-app, and worst case scenario you get to speak to the Osper community team (and they’re a lovely bunch). Also, we’re pretty sure that pets don’t like eating Osper cards anywhere near as much as they like cash.
And with that, Santa joined Osper.
No cash. No hassle.
Merry Christmas from Osper!
…psst – Osper parents find Santa in-app as from today. Any loads made from Santa will be available on the young person’s card straight away, so might be worth asking Santa to not make any loads until Christmas Day!
