‘If you could invent anything, what would it be?’
This is the question we asked our young Osperteers for last month’s competition to win a Tech Will Save Us kit.
Well, you guys definitely unleashed your imaginations! What really impressed us, however, was your commitment to making a better world. Whether it was feeding African children or achieving world peace, it’s clear to see that our Osperteers are the most caring kids around.
Your entries were weird and wacky, whimsical and wonderful, and we wanted to share our favourites with you …
Sam:
I would invent a mind reading machine that would automatically order anything that was on your mind and send it to your house so he didn’t ever have to go into town again!!! (Not a fan of shopping but a huge fan of getting new stuff!)
Ryan:
I would invent a robot to carry food and water to those who need it, like people in Africa. This would mean they wouldn’t haven’t to walk miles everyday just to get fresh water, the robot would do it for them. I wouldn’t give the robot any feelings so the robot wouldn’t worry that he has no water himself!
Trinity Rose:
If I could invent anything it would be a car that drives itself while you can relax, watch to, look at your surroundings or read a book. It would have a bed and a heating system. Each car would fit exactly one person in however you can attach cars together so that you make a massive car with sections in for each person. And of course they would be safe so that you don’t have to wear a seatbelt.
Alfie:
If I could invent anything, it’d be a conveyor belt that goes to Africa so you could put food on it and the people that don’t have for can get some. Or powdered food that turns into a meal when it has water put in it, for the people who don’t have much food.
Emilia:
I would invent a unicorn that poop’s ice cream! But a serious one… A teleporter beam that teleports you ware ever you think about.
Alfie:
If I could invent anything it would be an eco jet pack to get us around without damaging the environment and being cost-effective.
Jessica:
If I could invent anything I would invent a Hostility stopper. If you saw people being nasty to each other you just blast them with the laser and they are nice to each other 😀 This could solve so many problems and maybe create world peace!
Laurie and Joe:
We would invent Spring Shoes, which we have called ‘Ospring Shoes.’ These would be a brilliant piece of tech for many things, as they have a big spring at the bottom of each shoe which allows you to spring when you land and leap. We think that these shoes would: – help you have a soft landing – help you to leap higher and further – and they would be lots of fun – it could be useful for sports, such as basketball.
