“When witches go riding,
and black cats are seen,
the moon laughs and whispers,
’tis near halloween!”
Our Instagram Halloween Photo competition is now closed, please take a look at our winning entries below!

#Osperween!
We are so excited at Osper for Halloween! We’ve been thinking about how we can get into the spirit this year and have decided to stick with some good old traditional activities. We’ve been dressing up a little here at Osper – take a look π
This is Shahriar, Alan and I getting into things a little too much – I tried to get them to wear fake blood, it wasn’t happening π
We’ve also renamed things a little bit; Halloween has become #osperween π If you do join our photo competition, please be sure to tag your Insta posts with this!
There’s lots to do when it comes to getting into the sprit of things, whether it be trick-or-treating, throwing a party π or just being a bit different!
I wonder what the team here at Osper have been up to?
Halloween Fun
I’ve been asking around the office to find out some of the wackier Halloween stories from years gone by – we have some absolute gems to share with you.
First off, Alan our Quality Assurance master ππΌ has remembered a time when his friend got a bit too into things! ‘My friend and his dad threw water bombs at the children who went to their house for trick or treat’ – ok Alan π we’re sure that this was ‘your friend’ π this year he’s going to keep water bombs restricted to beaches in summer to avoid getting too cold!
Meanwhile, an Osper engineer (Osperneer?!), Shahriar, got a little bit unconventional in his approach, ‘I put on a t-shirt that said “Life” on it and went around my street handing out lemons to houses’. πLemons may not be sweets, but giving out things rather than asking for them seems like a nice twist on the occasion, so well done Shahriar, I’m expecting my lemon on the 31st this year!
One of our new joiners, Macey, told us about her Halloween outing with a Christmas theme: ‘Me and my friends dressed up as Santa, elves and a bunch of reindeer and gave out candy to other kids’. Again, someone giving out sweets rather than asking for them – what a kind hearted bunch we are here at Osper π Macey dressed up as Dancer the reindeer, ‘obviously’ π
What have you done on previous Halloweens? And what are you planning for this one – feel free to share your stories with us by commenting below!
What have the Osper Insiders been doing?!
I asked our Insiders to get in touch with some of their pumpkin carvings and Halloween pictures! Here are a few that were sent in –>
Let us know what you’ve been carving into your pumpkins by commenting below π
This pumpkin was carved and designed by Fay, one of our Osper Insiders! ππΌ
Another pair of Insiders, Sophie (10) and Emma (8) from Dagenham, dressing up for a Halloween party, amazing work guys! π
This is Elizabeth, age 9, in a HOME-MADE Batgirl costume – that is some serious effort, well done! π
And Jo, one of our Osper Insider mums, who loves caring pumpkins so much that she made 3!
Finally, Emily’s spooky pumpkin glowing in the dark! π
